01 DFS Management-How to create/map folders

1. Create a new AD group to grant access group for the share.
a. Add Users to the members tab.

2. Log on to DFS server.
a. Create the requested folder under “in shared folder”
b. Grant the AD group permissions to the folder.
c. Open DFS Management.
d. Right click \\servername\share folder  Click New folder

e. Add the path for the target folder (this will be a hidden path)

Use $ sign shared.

f. Click OK
